SUMMER CAMP OPTIONS
Summer Camps (with the exception of I Love My Pet Camp*) are now all “Choose Your Own Adventure” Camps! For those that have been to See Kitty Sew summer camps before, note the schedule change (3 days, 3 hours each day). Otherwise, the name change simply better reflects what everyone has always loved about sewing camp at See Kitty Sew - the individualized instruction and project selection, limitless opportunity for creativity, and small class size of four students. With a small class size, the learning and projects are customized to the students - everyone will not need to sew the same project. Kids can select projects based on their skill level, interests, learning goals, and whatever theme they want to dream up! Sign up for more than one week for seamless ongoing learning and fun!
Choose Your Own Adventure is offered on the following dates:
June 11-13, 9am-noon (note this is a Wed-Fri)
June 16-18, 9am-noon
June 23-25, 9am-noon
July 7-9, 9am-noon
July 14-16, 9am-noon
July 28-30, 9am-noon
Aug 11-13, 9am-noon
Aug 18-20, 9am-noon
*I Love My Pet Camp: submit your pet’s photo and when you come for camp, you’ll use your custom printed pet fabric to make a pillow, tote bag, and more!
Dates offered: July 21-23, 9am-noon
Below are past camp descriptions with an estimate of what would be made. Projects are always tailored to the skill level of the individual so that a beginner, as well as someone that has sewing experience, is appropriately challenged and learns new skills! These projects are all options under “Choose Your Own Adventure”. Let your summer schedule determine the week(s) to sign up for rather than the theme.
Learn to Quilt: Learn how to make a quilt from start to finish in a week!
18” Doll Fashion: Make clothes for your doll! Sew up a skirt, shirt, dress, headband, and more for her while learning useful sewing skills you can eventually apply to making yourself clothing some day!
Garment Sewing: Fun learning new skills while sewing clothing for all sewing levels! Projects will be matched to each individual based on their experience and interest. Beginners might start with projects such as lounge pants/shorts, skirt, and shirt. Move on to shirts, dresses, sweatshirts, etc. and different types of fabric. Sign up for more than one week to keep the fun going!
Ready for Adventure: Sew a drawstring backpack, water bottle holder, snack pouch, and tic-tac-toe-to-go, and you’ll be set for summer adventures!
Gear Up For School: Sew a zipper pencil case, thermal lunch bag, snack pouch, and notebook cover to get ready for back-to-school! Getting ready to go back to school has never been so fun!
